Speciality Powders

With a wealth of experience and technical know-how in the manufacture of non-ferrous powders, MMP has developed a range of Speciality Powders with tailored characteristics to meet specific customer requirements and end-uses. All meet the usual exacting standards and are manufactured in our modern, purpose-built facility.

Speciality Powders are available in a variety of UN-approved packaging options, including 25kg sacks, 25-250kg steel drums and 250-1,000kg bulk bags.

Many of our Speciality Powders are customer specific, but applications include  component infiltration, veterinary science, dairy metals, frangible components, leisure, antimicrobial treatments and other diverse end uses.

Please contact us for any other technical requirements – we may be able to develop a product especially for you.

Typical applications include admixing in the production of iron powders, friction components, metallurgical alloying, decorative and architectural finishes, welding and brazing, diamond tooling, thermal management, surface engineering, electrical contacts, antimicrobial coatings, veterinary science and winning of precious metals.

Technical Specifications

The range of Speciality Powders is wide and varied, manufactured by a number of different methods and techniques and  developed through an active R&D programme. Such techniques include (but are not limited to) water-atomising, air-atomising, annealing, blending, etc. These processes confer particular properties on the powders by virtue of a combination of carefully selected chemistry and process controls and these may be engineered to suit customer requirements.

As with all MMP products, very low lead (Pb) levels and good repeatability from batch-to-batch are critical features. Some of the Speciality Powders offered are listed here, although we are always interested to work with customers to develop new and novel products where desired.
