Irregular Bronze Powder
MMP Irregular Bronze Powders (IBP) are available in multiple grades, each characterized according to, for example, particle size, specific surface area, apparent density and chemistry. IBP grades are manufactured by a water-atomizing process in our modern, purpose-built facility.
Material properties are engineered by careful control of processing parameters, allowing us to offer tailored solutions to our customers’ requirements.
Irregular Bronze Powders include up to 40% tin and these grades are characterized by tight chemical control, low lead (Pb), good sinterability and compressibility.
IBP is available in a variety of UN-approved packaging options, including 25kg sacks, 25-250kg steel drums and 250-1,000kg bulk bags.
Applications
Irregular Bronze Powders are used in very many applications, markets and technologies by virtue of the wide range of physical and chemical properties available.

Typical applications include pressed and sintered components, bearing and bushes, friction parts, bronze filled PTFE for hydraulic seals, decorative and architectural finishes, welding and brazing, diamond tooling.
