Spherical Bronze Powders

Our Spherical Bronze Powders are available in a wide range of Particle Sizes which we manufacture on site here in Rochdale; they can be “standard, off-the-shelf” types or designed to meet individual customers’ needs, these being supplied into a number of markets and applications around the world.

 

Technical Description

Spherical Bronze Powders are manufactured by an air-atomising process in our modern, purpose-built facilities. Careful selection and control of processing parameters and chemical composition allow us to offer tailored solutions for our customers.

 

Our Spherical Bronze Powders are available with particle sizes ranging from less than 45 microns to more than 1mm with good sphericity, low oxygen and lead (Pb) content and excellent Particle Size Distribution control. A full range of very narrow sieve fractions specifically for the Filters industry is available. We have also developed specialised process controls to enable us to supply to the very highest quality standards demanded by the “Steel-Backed Bearings” industry to minimise surface defects after sintering.

 

All are characterised by good reproducibility batch after batch, and are available in a variety of UN-approved packaging options including 25kg sacks, steel drums (50-100kg) and Big Bags (250, 500, 1000kg).

 

Usage & Application

Spherical Bronze Powders are used in many applications, markets and technologies. Typical uses include steel-backed bearings (bi-metal strip), filters, additive manufacturing, resin-bonded friction components, decorative applications (including cold casting), welding and brazing, diamond tooling, surface engineering,  bronze-filled PTFE for hydraulic seals, etc.
